REAL MOMENTS. YOUR DECISIONS.
Read the defense.Own the clock. A two-minute drill is a football offense's push to score before time runs out. In this game, the score, clock, down, field position, and timeouts for each daily start come from a real NFL game.
What happens next is your simulated drive. The defense responds to your recent calls, and your review compares the decisions you made with the other available options. After the finish, see the recorded NFL drive separately.

BEFORE THE NEXT SNAP A few quick answers.
Is Two Minute Drill Game free? Yes. Play the daily challenge and unlimited practice drives in your browser, with no signup or download.
Does the clock run while I choose a play? No. You can take your time deciding. Game time advances when you take an action; an in-bounds play also adds setup time before your next snap.
When does the daily challenge change? A new daily challenge starts at 00:00 UTC. Everyone gets the same starting situation and seeded simulation for that UTC date.
Are the results real NFL plays? The starting situation is real; your continuation and coaching estimates are simulated. The original NFL drive is revealed separately when you finish. This is an independent game with no NFL affiliation.

WELCOME TO THE SIDELINE
Make the right call. Each day starts from a real NFL late-game situation. The source moment is real; your continuation and defensive looks are simulated. Win the drive, or force overtime when a tie is possible.
01 Read the field. Get 10 yards in four downs to earn a new first down. Reach the end zone for a touchdown.
02 Make the call. Choose among 16 plays in four categories. Repeating outside breaks invites a sideline trap; inside runs draw a loaded box. RPO reads the front, and play action improves after you establish the run.
03 Own the clock. Incomplete passes and getting out of bounds stop it. In-bounds plays add 12 seconds of runoff before the next snap (24 in a huddle). A timeout stops the clock; a spike costs a down and five seconds including setup.
04 Finish the drive. A turnover or the end of the clock ends your attempt. A touchdown completes this simplified drive challenge; an extra point is automatic if needed. When down two, a field goal wins; down three, it forces overtime. Check weather and kick distance.
Before each call, the engine simulates 80 continuations per play option using the same seeded sample bank; field goals use their modeled accuracy directly. Reviews show the estimated chance to win or force overtime; grades favor wins over ties. These are estimates from this game model, not NFL predictions. A good call can still fail.

two minute drill game
For the armchair coaches. two minute drill game is a small, independent two-minute football strategy game inspired by the decisions that make a late-game drive so compelling.
Daily challenges start at an exact, stopped-clock moment from a real NFL game. The score, time, field position, down, distance and remaining timeouts come from nflverse play-by-play data. The same UTC date gives everyone the same starting situation and random sequence. Historical practice offers more real moments; training uses fictional teams.
After the starting snapshot, your drive, defensive looks and coaching grades come from a seeded simulation. They do not reconstruct the real defense or predict NFL results. The original drive is revealed separately after you finish. Weather is neutral in the simulation; historical weather is not modeled. This version focuses on a single offensive drive. It simplifies scoring: a touchdown ends a drive successfully, with an automatic extra point when needed. There are no opponent possessions, penalties, or two-point attempts.
The defense learns from your last five play calls and adjusts its coverage or front. The engine simulates 80 continuations per play option before the result, using a fixed continuation policy; kicks use their modeled accuracy directly. Grades compare estimated wins, with half credit for forcing overtime. Reviews keep these estimates separate from what actually happened. This model has not been calibrated against NFL results.
Independent project. No affiliation with the NFL or any professional team. Daily challenges reset at 00:00 UTC.

Your game stays with you. This game saves your progress, finished-drive record, and sound preference in your browser's local storage. No account is required. The optional daily leaderboard publishes your chosen nickname and verified drive result only when you submit. Google Analytics 4 measures page visits and gameplay interactions on the production website, such as starting and finishing a drive. It may use analytics cookies.
